| Call it just my opinion but a post like this is probably not the best way to go about it. I am sure that the commissioner is contemplating his decision and his response. Things like this take time man. Interpreting the rules and bylaws is no simple matter. If you want any chance of this coming out in your favor I would just sit back relax and wait. Just my opinion though. |

| I can't even get an answer as to why the rule was made.. I feel like the longer it takes the more screwed we are and nothing is getting done. | |

| I answered your e-mail(s) on 9/13/2008, each one within 20 minutes. 1. Message Board (posted 7/22/2008): http://football12.myfantasyleague.com/2008/mb/topic_show.pl?bid=200822226&tid=1458717 Preseason Free Agency: "Free agency will begin two weeks prior to the start of the NFL season. Owners have two free agent transactions during the preseason, one for each week. The first FA period is August 18-22 and the second FA period is August 25-29. The order for the first week of preseason free agency is reverse from draft order. The order for the second week is reverse order of the first week. Free agency moves will be processed at midnight on Fridays." In order to get 34 players on your roster, you do not have to include a drop when adding a player during preseason free agency. 2. Rules: Season Free Agency: .... No bid will be accepted without a dropped player. | |

| Great. So yes, half of us are screwed for the year. Now WHY??? Why on earth you would make this rule? Who voted to allow it? Who decided this? | |

| Commish, I would appreciate it if you addressed my issue. If the rule was written as you did in this post " No bid will be accepted without a dropped player " then this would be a fruitless debate however since it is worded that the drop is required to make roster room that appears to be conditional. That rule was not meant to restrict roster sizes and that is why it is written with that clause. I am not asking for a change to the rule however I think the interpretation needs to be revisited. Had I interpreted it as you do then I would have ensured my roster was full even if it was with a garbage player. Since I interpreted it as I did, I left an open spot to work with during the beginning of the season in free agency and trade negotiations. Thank you George |
