(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 28, 2009) In a week 16 TURF Football League West classic, Bronx Bombers squeaked by a tough Medics team by a score of 104 to 95, extending the winning streak for Bronx Bombers to 3 games.
Bronx Bombers were led to their 9 point victory by a 23 point effort from Matt Schaub, who got by the Miami Dolphins defense for 286 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 22 point effort from Randy Moss, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 45 receiving yards and 3 receiving TDs.
"This team shows a lot of character," Bronx Bombers coach Robert Pagan said.
Medics were helped out in a losing cause by a 17 point effort from Drew Brees, who got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 258 passing yards and 1 passing TD. They also got help from a 17 point effort from the Arizona Cardinals Defensive Team.
"The best team won today," Medics coach Dave Stevens said.
This brings the record for Bronx Bombers to 9-5-1, and drops Medics to a record of 8-6.
